Precautions for Use

Please follow these precautions when using the C8P-60A to ensure long-term safety and performance:

Mechanical Installation

  • Always use flat and spring washers during installation to prevent loosening.

  • Maximum pulling/pushing force on terminals is:
    – Load terminal: 49N
    – Coil terminal: 49N
Exceeding these values may cause mechanical damage.

Soldering

  • Manual Soldering: 380 ± 20°C for 3–5 seconds

  • Wave Soldering: 265 ± 5°C for 3–5 seconds

Surge and Capacitive Load Protection

  • For inductive loads (L/R ≥1ms), always use surge absorbers such as varistors or TVS diodes.

  • For capacitive loads, use a pre-charge circuit and control the closing voltage difference to ≤20V to prevent contact welding.

  • For products without an economizer, do not use a diode for coil suppression; instead, use TVS or varistor.

Environmental Conditions

  • Use within -40°C to +85°C. Do not exceed this range, as internal gas pressure may rise and affect reliability.

  • Avoid installing near heating elements (e.g., fuses, shunts) to prevent overheating of contact ends.

  • Avoid installation near strong magnetic fields or near grease/contamination at terminals.

Handling & Storage

  • Do not reuse the contactor if it has been dropped.

  • Store in a dry place, avoiding direct sunlight and corrosive gases.

  • Storage Life: 12 months in original packaging.
